Hi my name is Star Palfy. I had just recently lost my older sister. She was 25 years old. I'm only 18. Last Friday morning
she had passed away. About 3 weeks before she had her Gaul bladder taken out. She left 3 children the oldest being 6, the
middle being 4, and the youngest being 2 months/ about 5 days. She was going to get married to her long time boyfriend. They
were going to surprise my parents. Long before she passed away I would have to run her to the hospital almost every day. She
would tell me that her doctor couldn't see her for some odd reason. We went to 3 different hospitals which are St. Joes, St.
Anthony, and Lutheran. They just kept pumping her full of medicine. Everyone misses her. Her life could have been longer if
the hospitals didn't do this to her. She was going to have her two older kid's birthday together this month on the 26. Part
of our Native American Culture we have a big dinner of her favorite foods. What makes me sad the most is that she's not going
to see her beautiful children grow up. Her baby is going to be one Dec. 9. We weren't sure if we were going to be able to
pay for her funeral. I'm still not sure. My sisters boyfriend and the kids moved in with us. it's hard and all but I think
we all seem lost with out her. The doctors say that the medicine was too strong for her. Three days before she went to the
doctors and they told her that she has 2 days to live and that her liver was shutting down. Well after that she had called
my dad and said that her liver was shutting down he told her that everything was going to be alright and that we'd get it
fixed. She was on medicade and the hospitals kept pumping her with medicines. Every time I went in with her they all just
said to keep wet gause in the incision and keep a dry piece over it.
Thank You for reading my story and thank you for
your time. Star Palfy
